Things I’ve learned about myself since I’ve been here:
- I can make a mean omelet with a microwave & a bowl.
- I doubt that I’ll ever hate eating mac n’cheese.
- I’m actually not bad at volleyball; sand is better than asphalt.
- I’m not invincible compared to the sun… damn the second degree sun burns.
- I know I’m supposed to be here and for the right reasons.
- A pretty view is always better when enjoyed with some good people.
- Snorkeling makes the ocean less scary… sometimes, lol.
- It IS possible to live off of <$100 worth of groceries for 2 weeks.
- I can eat spaghetti 5 days of the week and still like it.
- Studying makes me ridiculously hungry… damn neurons.
(I realize my blog address is ‘leahdvm’ and that I don’t have my DVM… YET. I have too much pride to let something so public become a lie, so it’s just incentive for me to make sure it all happens… my dreams will come true & then happily ever after!)

Hey! Sorry- I don’t mean to be stalkerish, but I came across your blog during a search on ways for being prepared for the island! I saw that you’re from the Washington D.C area- I live in Springfield and just graduated from Tech this past December. I’ll be attending Ross this May and would love to know if I could talk to you via email! I’m freaking out as the days are winding down. I feel so unprepared!
